What do I do on Plunge day if I have pre-registered? When you arrive at the Plunge, please head to the check-in area under the appropriate alphabetical listing according to your last name. As you check in, additional donations will be accepted and added to your fundraising total. You will receive wristbands and an index card to pick-up your Plunger gift (at another area). Wristbands must be worn to participate in the Plunge. If you register on-line, please bring a copy of your receipt.
What do I do on Plunge day if I am a member of a team? When you arrive at the Plunge find your team and send ONLY the Team Captain to the Team Check-in area. At check-in additional donations will be accepted and added to your fundraising total. Team Captains will be given wristbands and index cards to pick-up Plunger gifts (at another area) for your entire team. Wristbands must be worn to participate in the Plunge. A team must include at least ten members and all Team Members must register by a specific date. Please refer to the Plunger Kit for specifics.
What if I decide to take the Plunge last minute, can I still register on Plunge Day? Yes, just complete a registration form, bring at least $100, and head to the On-Site Registration Area. We'll do the rest!
I registered but now I can't participate, what happens to my registration and donations? All donations will be credited to your account. If you've raised enough money to be eligible for a Plunger gift, you can still receive that item by contacting the Special Olympics New Jersey office at (609)896-8000 or e-mail .
How will the Plunge staff know how much money I've raised? At the Plunge check-in areas, volunteers and staff will have a list of everyone who registered and all payments received as of the Plunge deadline (refer to the Plunger Kit for details).
What should I do if the donor wants a receipt? The on-line registration component of our website allows for supporters to donate directly to the Plunger's website using various payment methods. A receipt is created immediately and is available for printing. If a sponsor mails their donation, be sure they include a request for a receipt with their donation. How can I keep track of my donations? We provide a "Plunger's Record of Money Raised" form for your convenience. Use it to keep track of your cash and check pledges as you collect them. Make as many copies as you need. There is no need to turn in the form. However, we recommend that you bring the form with you on the day of the Plunge. How can my company get involved? Monetary and in-kind support are always needed to operate an event of this size. Your company can get involved in any number of ways, here are some ideas:
Where will I find the changing facilities? Men's and Women's changing facilities are available on site. Refer to your Plunger Kit for specifics. We suggest that you leave valuable items at home, or with a family member/friend while you take the Plunge.
Are there any souvenirs for sale? There's tons of cool stuff available for purchase. Check the Souvenirs station.
